Curriculum
At TMSA, our curriculum is designed to inspire curiosity, ignite innovation, and empower lifelong learners. Guided by our mission to prepare students for success in STEM fields and beyond, TMSA provides a comprehensive, standards-aligned curriculum that balances academic rigor with character development and leadership growth.
Our instructional programs are built upon the North Carolina Standard Course of Study (NCSCOS) and enriched by high-quality, research-based materials adopted across all campuses. From foundational literacy and numeracy in the early grades to advanced STEAM courses and project-based learning in middle and high school, every lesson is intentionally crafted to help students think critically, solve problems creatively, and apply learning to the real world.
Equity and consistency are central to our approach. District-wide alignment ensures that every student receives access to a rigorous curriculum, high expectations, and enrichment opportunities. Our teachers collaborate through Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) to analyze data, share best practices, and design targeted supports through our Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) so all students can thrive.
Beyond academics, TMSA integrates the Leader in Me principles and the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People into everyday learning. This empowers students to take ownership of their growth, develop leadership skills, and contribute positively to their school and community.
At TMSA, curriculum is more than what we teach; it’s how we inspire students to lead with knowledge, integrity, and purpose.
